About Edavaka Mission

The Most Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Thoma was instrumental in the formation of the Mar Thoma Voluntary Evangelistic Association founded in 1924. The objective of the organization is to lead members to a witnessing Christian life. To achieve this, the Association instills in each member the consciousness that they are called to fulfill the command of Jesus Christ, "making disciples of all nation, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you".

As a parish, the Voluntary Evangelistic Association is known as the Edavaka Mission. Members of the Edavaka Mission meet for fellowship at 7:30 pm on Thursdays. In addition, we have activities planned throughout the year.

During the summer, Edavaka Mission members visit all interested families to share the importance of family prayer. It is in genuine worship that God's presence is felt, revealed, and displayed.
